High Country Activities owner and manager, Jane Shafroth, has been a resident of Summit County, where the towns of Frisco, Dillon and Silverthorne are, as well as where the ski areas of Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and Keystone are located, for more than 15 years. During this time she worked for a major local resort, planning activities and dining for individual guests, families, groups and conferences. She and her husband also owned a Victorian Inn for four years in Breckenridge. Jane first came from the United Kingdom to the United States for Graduate School at the University of Colorado and was awed by the scenery of the Rocky Mountains and the 300 days of sunshine common to the state, and has been in Colorado ever since.

Jane scuba diving in the British Virgin Islands
Jane and her family are avid sailors and have cruised in their own boat down the East Coast of the United States, the Bahamas and the Caribbean from the Spanish Virgin Islands to Grenada. Jane also likes to ski, scuba dive, play tennis, bike and hike. Prior to moving to Summit County, she lived with her family in Denver, where she was a teacher, high school tennis coach, and Executive Director of the Colorado Wheelchair Tennis Foundation.

Jane brings a wealth of experience of local vendors to her full service concierge business. She has chosen to work with many companies voted “The Best of Summit County” by locals. Jane loves to share her knowledge with guests staying in and around the Summit County towns, and to help in planning a vacation for them for just a few days or for a longer stay. She will cater to your individual needs, whether you are a family with young children or teenagers, a couple, or a single person, suggesting what activities to undertake and how to arrive at the location for these activities.
