Trip Option 1 | Leadville Group Dogsled Tour

dog sledding frisco coThese dogs are mostly all former professional racing sled dogs that have been adopted after they have finished their racing careers. They have been bred to run at high speeds in wide open spaces. Your guide has their own dedicated teams of dogs, and they will introduce you to each dog and give you their history before your tour. You can visit with any dogs not out on the course in the pen after your experience. Your tour is located in a beautiful meadow at an historic ranch surrounded by 14,000′ peaks. There are six seats per dogsled tour. On the group tour, two people ride on the dogsled at a time while the other guests ride on a sleigh that is pulled by the guide on a snowmobile. Periodically, you will stop and switch drivers and riders. Anyone 9 and above may drive the sled, unless the guide determines that a child would not be big or strong enough to handle the sled. If you want your family to have the dogsled to yourselves, you may reserve the entire dogsled by purchasing a private tour. You may also add a kennel tour or a box lunch, with your choice of Ham & Swiss or Turkey & Cheddar sandwich, chips, cookie, soda or bottled water, to your tour.

Please note the following pandemic restrictions for the 2020 – 2021 season.
